uPVC in Thailand
Is uPVC suitable for Thailand's heat and sun?
Yes. Quality uPVC window profiles are UV-stabilised and formulated for hot, sunny climates, so they keep their shape and colour. uPVC is also a natural insulator, which is exactly what you want when it's 35°C outside and you're trying to keep a room cool.
Will uPVC windows rust or corrode near the sea?
No. uPVC can't rust or corrode, which is why it's ideal for beachfront and sea-view homes in Hua Hin, Khao Takiab and Cha-am where salt air quickly damages aluminium and steel. The internal steel reinforcement is galvanised and sealed inside the profile, away from the weather.
Will new uPVC windows reduce my air-conditioning bills?
They should make a real difference. Insulating uPVC frames and double glazing slow the heat coming into your home, and good seals stop cooled air leaking out. How much you save depends on your home's orientation, shading and the glass you choose — we'll give you honest advice at your survey, including where Low-E solar-control glass is worth it.
How does uPVC compare with aluminium windows?
Aluminium is strong and slim but conducts heat extremely well, so frames get hot and transfer heat indoors, and it corrodes in salty coastal air unless expensively coated. uPVC insulates around a thousand times better, won't corrode, and typically costs less. See our full comparison on the Why uPVC page.
Are uPVC windows good in the rainy season?
Yes. Continuous rubber gaskets seal every opening sash, and engineered drainage channels inside the frame carry any water back outside. Steel reinforcement keeps frames rigid in strong monsoon winds.
Prices, quotes & installation
How much do uPVC windows and doors cost in Hua Hin?
Every window and door is made to measure, so the price depends on the size, style, glass, colour and number of openings. The best way to get an accurate figure is a free survey: we measure up, discuss options and send you a clear written quote with no obligation.
Is the survey and quote really free?
Yes — completely free and with no obligation. We'll visit your property, measure every opening and talk through the options with you.
How long does it take from survey to installation?
It depends on the size of the project and the products you choose. We'll give you a realistic timeline with your quote and keep you updated throughout. Installation itself is usually quick and tidy — most homes are done in a matter of days.
Can you replace my old aluminium or timber windows?
Absolutely. We remove the old frames, fit your new uPVC windows and doors, seal everything properly and make good, leaving the site clean.
Do you work on new builds with builders and architects?
Yes. We can work from your drawings, advise on opening sizes early in the design, and coordinate with your builder so windows and doors are installed at the right stage.
Products & aftercare
What does the 5-year warranty cover?
All of our windows and doors come with a 5-year warranty. The full terms are set out in writing with your quote, so you know exactly what's covered before you commit.
Are uPVC doors secure?
Very. Our doors use multi-point locking with Yale cylinders, steel-reinforced frames and internally beaded glass that can't be removed from outside. Laminated glass is available for extra protection.
Can I have insect or mosquito screens?
Yes, insect screens can be added to most of our windows and doors. Ask about the options during your survey.
How do I clean and maintain uPVC?
Simply wipe the frames with warm soapy water a few times a year, keep sliding tracks free of sand and leaves, and lightly lubricate the hinges and locks once a year. Never use abrasive cleaners or solvents. There's no painting or varnishing — ever.
Which areas do you cover?
We cover Hua Hin and the surrounding area, including Cha-am, Khao Takiab, Khao Tao, Pranburi, Sam Roi Yot, Kui Buri and Phetchaburi. If you're further afield, get in touch and we'll do our best to help.
